Does Akio think that the main series author is playing a long game on both main series and the spinoffs? For example, think of that in the future if there is world teenager championship arc as mentioned in Saki 166, would Shino "debut" in this arc? What about Niemann, Blumenthal, Shino's mother?
There is a hypothesis that since we have pro mahjong cards 1 (Kokaji Sukoya), 2 (Mihirogi Uta), 4 (Mizuhara Hayari), 5 (Noyori Risa) but no card number 3 that Shino is actually number 3.
It's been hinted that Shino is the current world champion. If you can imagine a day when the Interhigh is over and the series continues into a world championship arc, then maybe Shino could be Saki's "final boss" so to say. But Shino could appear before that, watching Saki win the Interhigh or something. And the same for other Shinohayu characters of course.
Will the author draw the individual championship arc after the inter high school championship? By the way, in the last page of Saki chapter 221, the journalist wanted to investigate Miyanaga sisters and there is another girl approaching the journalist from the back with a cellphone? Who does Akio think she may be?
For the reporter, there is one point being very strange: in chapter 221, the reporter tried to investigate Miyanaga family then she quit being a reporter. Normally, if a reporter wants to investigate someone and being rejected, such things would not happen. Can we imagine that the Arctander side of Miyanaga Family is powerful enough to keep outsiders (whoever they are) away from them, or maybe they "ask" the reporters and colleagues "Don't ever mess with this issue". There is one other thing that we should notice: 20 years ago, Saki's mother, Ai Arctander, was a prominent international mahjong player, from the author's setting, think of a player on Olympic stage, and she disappeared from that stage. Wouldn't there be journalists at that time try to dig something out? Why was there so less people remembered Ai Arctander?

Maybe the reporter they are talking about? She must be related somehow.
