Thanks for the translation Finally we were able to see the mahjong game properly. I'm glad Mako also won a hand. Despite being one of the main characters of the manga, she did not receive much attention. Thanks to Mekimeki, I think she made it stand out a bit by making a spin-off for Mako. We also got some information about Noyori-pro's mahjong style. I would like Mako to be good at defense like Hiroe and Satoha in the future.
Yeah, it's always nice when there's a proper mahjong chapter and we can see the characters thoughts and choices to win and evade and so on. Let's hope maybe Mako wins another hand or two.
Thanks for the chapter. This chapter was more interesting to me in this sergeant match than the other ones. Mako's strenght was pronounced in this chapter.
Slight error in the discards, Mako drew another hatsu turn 3 pg8 (expecting to call one early) but pg11 has the last hatsu in Yuu's discard turn 2. Thanks for the chapter.
Well observed but this seems to be Mako's choice, not an error. Mako was waiting for the 4th hatsu to make the call to avoid opening her hand needlessly. It's a normal thing to do even in real mahjong. Opening the hand lowers your evade (among other disadvantages) which becomes important at the end of the chapter.
But it's a nice observation, it makes the chapter even more interesting.
This can be done on purpose. As a person who played mahjong there is a tool you can use - if you have pair of honor tiles that will give you yaku if you call and someone discards one of them early it's not necessary to call it immediately - because if someone will draw it they will most likely discard it but you leave the chance to draw it yourself open. So her call of "I would've called it myself" is perfectly legit - she was preparing to do it on 2nd discard of it but now has drawn it herself. Also yes, not calling it leaves you ability to defend with discarding dead honor tiles multiple times in a row if you decide to fold.
Thanks for the translation

ReplyDeleteI think main story Kiyosumi team will Lose....
ReplyDeletebecause team battle not setting for Saki fight Teru.
and final round has Shizuno [Debuff all enemy skill] , Awai [Absolute Safety Zone] , Nelly [around flow control]
They will fight in solo battle ........in the future.....
If SHizuko debuff all enemy skills, Saki have just to play like Nodocchi and it will be okay xD...
