About Hiroe's pun in the Toki chapter. In the original, Hiroe says iichoushi (I'm doing great) but replaces the "ii" for the English pronunciation of the letter E (E-choushi). I did my best to do something similar in English while staying close to the original meaning. It's meant to be a bad pun so if it feels awkward, that's perfect.
There was a short post from Ritz saying Shinohayu's draft could not be completed in time so there isn't going to be a chapter this month. Ritz apologized to the readers and also to Aguri and the editors for the trouble. There should still be a Toki chapter though.
Sorry if you were waiting for these a couple of days ago. I really wanted to finish them together and that means they both got a bit delayed. I also didn't want to rush them. On the plus side, now you get two chapters at once. Enjoy!
It's everyone against Shizuno in South 3 of the last hanchan of the Interhigh...
The Interhigh Final is at one of its most critical moments. Can anyone stop this climb?
It's finally Shizuno's turn to be dealer. Her last dealership. How far can she go...?
We've finally made it to chapter number 300. This more or less coincides with the 20th anniversary of Saki's serialization, so it's 300 chapters in 20 years.
I was going to post this yesterday but then something happened and it got delayed. Thankfully, everything is fine now.
I was thinking Saki will soon reach 300 chapters but actually "Round/Hand 1" was the 4th chapter (the first 3 chapters were counted differently), so this is already the 301st chapter of Saki. Also, Saki's chapter 1 was published in February 2006 but serialization only started in June 2006. If Round 300 is published next June, it will coincide with the 20th anniversary of serialization.
Saki. To infinity, and beyond!
The score in the last page was wrong (it said 12000) so it has been corrected in the translation. Ritz also noticed and made a brief post about it so there is no doubt.
Initially, I was going to release Toki first but they ended up overlapping so it's a double release!
Saki's chapter title is a very obscure Japanese word and it's not clear from the chapter why Ritz picked that title but, in my interpretation, Saki, Shizuno and Awai are the "rabbits" trapped in Nelly's "cage". Could be something else, I don't know but anyway here's the chapter...
The Japanese word for 'fate' is made of the kanji for 'life' and 'luck'. Life's luck. Given that the concept of luck plays an important role in the chapter, this is clearly intentional.
The captains' match is getting closer to crunch time. Only a few rounds left...
After getting lost in the mountains due to Shizuno's ability, Awai remembers what happened on that day or more like on that night...
It's time. Takakamo Shizuno makes her move. How will the others respond to it...?
