It's so nice to see a Saki series, which has a pretty small fandom getting nice quality releases like this. Usually people have to settle for bad Chinese scans.
Nogami's hand most likely is tanyao since she discarded 1-sou. If it's true I think that's a bad move, she should be discarded 4-sou. But if she has two set of pair wait & at least one of it is terminal/honor then that would be a good trap.
My mistake here, I should said that discarded 1-sou is good move not the other away around. What I want to say is Nogami should give her opponents impression that her hand is tanyao (like what she did by discarded 1-sou) while she actually has two set of pair wait & at least one of it is terminal/honor, then her opponents would likely discard terminal/honor tiles. Yeah, my newbie brain done goofed.
This manga has probably the cutest drawing style of all Saki-related mangas. And some mahjong is coming!

ReplyDeletediscarding 4 sou gives more semi-safe tiles because of suji+if it's really tanyao it reduses the cost of your hand...
