In the main series, Kainou Yoshiko mentioned that she was being able to defeat Miyanaga Teru once to Mizuhara Hayari because of two reasons: 1. Her ability to summon Tezcatlipoca 2. Fujishiro exhausted Miyanaga Teru Kainou Yoshiko faced Miyanaga Teru at match of champion of 69th mahjong interhigh championships. Yoshiko's saying has two different explanations: 1. Miyanaga Teru faced Fujishiro Nanami and other strong opponents at quarter final. As a result, Miyanaga Teru won but due to the strength and ability of Fujishiro Nanami, the match of quarterfinal somewhat became a war of attrition between Teru and Nanami; although Teru won at last, the fight consumed a lot of power of her. Then she faced Kainou Yoshiko at the final match, and her strength was not fully recovered.
2.Miyanaga Teru faced both Kainou Yoshiko and Fujishiro Nanami at the final, during the match, she went into war of attrition with Nanami and withstanding the attack of Yoshiko from Tezcatlipoca in the same time, and her spirit/strength was divided and let Yoshiko took the first place (champion). I don't whether each one is true, or there are other explanations, you are welcomed to tell me.
Does the main series mention anything about Fujishiro Nanami at present? I know the plot of Toki now is 6 years before the current state of main series.
