Saki 215: Encirclement

Remember when Saki and Teru passed each other in the hallway and Teru didn't know what to say? Maybe Teru finally found a way to "talk" to her little sister with that Rinshan Kaihou. I feel this is what Ritz is trying to convey here, very subtly. Sumire seems to think that too with her unfinished sentence in this chapter.

  2. Oh, here was I hoping this time Kuro would declare a kan. I still want to see if something different would happen with the Kan-dora if she created it herself.

  3. I hope when they try to stop Teru, when she has no choice but call riichi, Yuuki will call a kan off Satoha, thus Kuro's winning tile will change to kan-dora. While Teru somehow or another has some kind of countermeasure against Kuro sending normal dora. That's why the kan-dora would be the best trap i think. It would be even better if Yuuki were to use the rinshan tile to change her winning tile to the new dora and using the atame hane rule(from Shinohayu). After all as the dealer she can steal the win from Kuro. If there is no such rule, then let all three of them win of off Teru.
This is what i look forward to the most as an ending to the vanguard match.

  4. As noted by Kokaji, with 6 man Teru would have only 5 fan and therefore only 13500 points. If I remember correctly, she increases her base score with every win without including the repeat bonus, so presumably she would have to let this discard pass and draw a 3/4/5 man herself. So no, Kuro, the 6 man were actually safe :-) But alas, Teru’s superpower (as do many others) appears to manipulate causality itself, so Kuro was certain to make the wrong choice.
