Ooh!! More delicious details about the reunion match and where Shinohayu fits in the big picture! Let’s see, those figures look like Yukinaga and Mukunoki, then Oroku from Okinawa? Who are the other three? And is that our pretty little Shino?!

DeleteAlso, it seems like there’s something else about Kuro that we haven’t been told yet. What could she do to stop the chūren pōtō? Why? And most importantly, what is this decision that she supposedly made and wasn’t sure about? I went back to look at that hand, but it went past so fast and other than “C’mon, you can stop it right here!” and “I wonder if I can still do it?” that already seemed strange back then, I don’t see anything, certainly no decision-making.

DeleteDoes Kokaji says she didn't get to play with any of those 6 or just some of them? Because I would expect Akado to be one of those (since she gave some trouble to Kokaji), but depending on the wording it could mean she wasn't among those since they played against each other. Or Akado was just strong, but not enough to be among those top 6.

She says she couldn't play against some of them. So she played against some but not all.
DeleteI'm pretty sure Akado is not one of those 6 though. We know Akado was severely defeated by Kokaji. I think Akado won a big hand at some point but that's about it.

DeleteOk so to answer Oleg's question about Kuro. In the updated version, Akado's thoughts have been changed to "It's ok to stop it here", which is a small but important variation of that line. Even more importantly, the next line comes from Kuro's thoughts (not Akado's). She thinks "I'll stop it!!". This is Kuro's decision!
ReplyDeleteIt appears that Kuro's ability to stop Chuuren Poutou is only activated whenever she decides to do so. She decided that there (in page 7 of ch200) was the right moment to do it (Akado was thinking the same thing). In the end, it didn't work out (because Yuuki called a tile) so she now wonders if she did the right thing activating her ability.
Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience. Sometimes it can be difficult to interpret a character's thoughts when the lines are intentionally cryptic. I hope that everything is clear now.

DeleteYes download I prefer having the media since websites have a nasty habit of going offline. Just of your chapters I have everything before your chapters. Thanks for going through with the translations.

DeleteMaybe put all your files in one shared folder on a service that lets you download the whole folder with a single click? (Perhaps one folder per series.) That would let you avoid the need to update the pack with every release. If I understand correctly, Dropbox and Google Drive let you do this, and possibly MEGA too but I’m not sure.
