For this chapter, it's important to remember that 'riichi' is exclusive to the Japanese version of mahjong, so non-Japanese players like Hao and Myeonghwa would need to adapt when playing in Japan. Of course, playing without riichi could also be an advantage when everyone expects you to play with it.

ReplyDeletethanks for the chapter. I do love saki until Ritz buff Achiga too much. Besides, She has given lots of ideas but there's no development about those. For example, Shiraitodai chooses the strongest team instead of strongest members for their national team competition. But there's seem no strategy for the team now except Teru won as many as she can and the other keep losing point , lol. On the other hand, Achiga has grown too much in a very short time from underdog to the strongest team now. And we all knew that the Kuro's sisters are the worst. They don't need any strategy or read their's opponent hands. All they have to do is sitting there and tsumo for winning a big big hands, lol. Another example is Teru can be stopped even she win 8 times in a rows though Ritz already gave the idea of the 9th can't be stopped, and many many others that I cannot mentioned... Lastly, I feel so unfair for Kiyosumi end even for Shiraitodai
ReplyDeleteThe idea here is Achiga has excellent coach, Harue found the tell on Sumire's ability and how use Shizuno to seal Awai while no other coachs could do the same. And I think the skills of Achiga girls got buff has something to do with Shizuno awaken power. Like she can buffs teammates somehow. And one more thing I want to point it out is some people needs to lose so others can shine. So things will be balance out in later games. Achiga will take a beating there. Maybe right at this moment when Hui riichi :D.
