  1. Thanks for the chapter.
Personally I didn't like Killer Move No.8. Just like in Awai's yakuman's name 7 stars, I had hoped she only had 7 Killer Moves.

  4. Ty for the translation! Awai has really stolen the show of this match and I'm genuinely worried Saki/Shizu won't be able to top her performance haha. My prediction in the next chapter or two is that Saki is going to feed a big hand to Shizu to prevent her from going negative from Awai's tsumos, like she did in the regionals. I'm hoping Saki gets the level up she needs to keep her interesting as well. Ritz really killed the hype around her since her lame semi-finals performance.

    1. It looks like Shizuno will have a hard time catching up to Awai. I hope she stops Awai in the next chapter, with or without the help of the other player. There's a chance Saki will help her.

  9. Okay. At this point, I completely don't understand the entire Achiga hen arc (though I liked it much more than the main series, ironically).

Looking at the difference in points, purely theoretically, does Achiga have any chance of even being relevant again, or has the entire arc turned out to be worthless?

And one more thing. Thank you, Akio, for all these years of translating the entire universe. You're literally a one-man army. Best regards and good luck!

    1. It's a manga, literally anything can happen. Shizu's the next dealer, she can just go on a massive win streak and completely flip the score around. Remember, Teru was in last place and clutched first place by a mile. Even real games of Mahjong can flip around just because one person suddenly gets a lucky win streak.

I do feel like this attempt at making Awai stick out is kinda lame. She "showed her technical side" by just pulling out 6 new bs moves out of nowhere and combining them together.

Only thing now is that she's obviously getting set up to run out of gas for the end, so she'll be useless for the inevitable Shizu dealer repeats and maybe make a last ditch effort on Saki's dealership.

    2. i feel like Awai's boobage power is depleting given the gradual downsizing. also like you mentioned, Shizu's dealer is up soon and we'll likely see her pull off her mountain region control on the table.

and then Saki will do what Saki does (being the title character and all) and blossom over the mountain's peak.

      that said, poor Nelly T_T

and as always, thanks for the sub!!
