Shinohayu. I have the theory that Chiyoko, Naoko, Kokoro, Chihiro and Yuzuha could be all part of the same team in high school. And they are all strong players but clearly some are much stronger than others. Some of them will never be a match for Shino but they could still be a worthy opponent for someone like Kanna or Yue. I could be wrong though...

ReplyDeleteAnd the Achiga chapter, rather than this one, I am more interested in Yuuki winning tenhou along with the reactions to it in the following chapters. After all this chapter along with the dialogues radically replicated the Saki manga, there were hardly any plus in background story.
This isn't like in the main series where they start with 100,000 points. Here they start with 30,000 and when someone goes bust, the match ends. Then the game moves to the sergeant match and so on. Was that your doubt? If not, sorry I didn't understand.

No. In the prefectural tournament and even in the individuals Chihiro won 1 han 30 fu hands when she was dealer, but in this chapter only 3 dealer repeats with suuanko as the last win and everyone go bust. Thus I wonder what abilities did she show during this match?
DeleteOh, I see now. I assumed she simply won a few big hands to end the match quickly, no abilities required. But maybe she did use something new and we'll see it in the next chapters.
DeleteChihiro has been seen to use big hands to end the game (yakuman against Shizuku to get that score, a 12500 ron against a random ch58). In ch61 she predicted drawing a 6sou without her dealership though so her precognition might just be weaker during non dealerships. She also got a baiman off Yuzu so big hands during non dealerships is certainly possible.
