Saki 220: Injury

If the next chapter is released as scheduled, it will make 6 consecutive YG issues with a Saki chapter. Not the first time it happens but still pretty rare. The record is 7 by the way, but it only happened once.

  1. oh my god i wasn't expecting this from ritz at all, but i'm happy that she's changing it up (also we're finally seeing more facial expressions that aren't just ":O"). i wonder if this injury is going to lead to hisa using her left hand to play instead.

thanks for the excellent translation as usual!

    1. Very unexpected indeed. Playing with her left hand... I thought Nodoka was going to be the one to do that.
She's gonna need some sort of medical attention though. She just can't show up to the match with her arm hanging. I don't think...

I'm glad you like the translation ˙˚ʚ(´◡`)ɞ˚˙

  2. Thanks for the chapter. It felt really confusing, i can't even guess how Hisa's match will turn out. And the fact that Etopen was mentioned, maybe in Nodoka's match it will have another huge role.

    1. Poor Hisa. I guess this means no more tile-smashing? The tiles must be so relieved.

    1. I like Hisa too. I hope her injury doesn't affect her match results too badly but hmm...

  4. No, don’t go nerfing Kiyosumi now!…

My cries for justice aside, what actually happened on/between pages 11 and 12? I’ve been staring at them (and the surrounding pages) for a little while but I can’t figure it out.

    1. Hisa sees the old lady is about to fall down the stairs so she jumps in front of her and pushes her back. But then she can't keep her balance so she falls down herself.

So you may say, would it have been safer to pull her from behind? Yes, maybe, but there was no time to think.

  5. first, thanks for hyper speed translation as always.

I didn't expected this kind of accident happen, but I hope Hisa can do her part at her final sergeant match T__T this is so suddenly and surprising (please don't make this death flag for kiyosumi, ritz-sama).

    1. Probably not a death flag but more like an excuse to put Hisa and Kiyosumi against the ropes. To make it look like they can't possibly win in this situation. It may even get worse, with Kiyosumi being close to getting busted at some point. But as long as Hisa endures it, they can recover the points later.

Also, I'm glad you like the translation.

    1. Yeah but what's the connection? Do you think it had something to do with an injury?

    3. We might finally get a flashback about that when Hisa meets Mihoko in the next? chapter. Does seems like it's about time for that too.
