It's finally done. In collaboration with Dong Meu Quy Toc Translator, we have created subs for the Achiga live-action movie. This time, the subs have been encoded into the movie for your convenience. You can find the subbed movie on Nyaa.
Below, you will find a link to the subs file, in case someone wants to add it to their own raws or something. But if you just want to watch the subbed movie, it's probably better to get the video file from Nyaa. Enjoy!

UPDATE: it's been announced on Ritz's blog that there will be no Shinohayu chapter this month. It's due to the work on the new volumes to be released next month. This is the first time Shinohayu takes a break after 60 chapters. Since Toki is taking a break too, that means no new chapters this month 😞. Oh, well. More time to watch or re-watch the Achiga movie, I guess.

DeleteWill be giving my comment about stuffs, probably wont touch a lot on stuff removed due to time restraint unless I feel that it should be included despite that.
Pros:
1)Awai actually did the backflip spin when she won.
2)Teru's power flipping girls' skirts, also the spinning 1p cg looks really good.
3)Noooo -de aru actually made it.
4)Nodoka's cleva-... I mean her dream. Also rich enough to live in such a hotel room lol.
5)Awai's power manifesting on the table looks really good too.
6)The end group hugs.
7)Akado reading Saki manga and Shibuya Takami's face in the credits.
Cons:
1)Removing all the gags between KokajixKouko kinda makes me sad(Probably due to time restraint but still), also personality changed.
2)Matano Seiko's only win got ignored. And that was her only chance to shine throughout the movie. Poor Ms.-59,400, movie budget isn't enough to get a fishing rod for her. XD
3)Although already shown in the trailer, still disappointed with Achiga's meeting with Saki.
4)Teru's animation takes too long lol.
Below are just minor rant:
5)No Oka-mochi joke in it.
5)Hitomi not blaming bad politics.
6)No Kuro Momo's moment in it.
7)No Wahaha in it.
8)No Kyaputen and her sidekicks in it.
9)No Arakawa Kei & Co. in it.
10)No Chibi Toki in it.
Other comments:
1)(Awai's double rii)Not as fancy as in the one in the anime but good enough. At first I was disappointed when Awai just did a normal double rii, thinking they won't be doing her double rii, but at least she did it once.
2)Although Tacos scene got replaced, still that scene was good enough as a replacement, for me this is even better.
3)Typo in 34:14 (S-1-2).
Probably that's all I wanted to say unless I forgot about it. Overall pretty satisfied with this. Looking forward to the next Saki's live action(well hopefully).

DeleteHitomi says her trademark line at 1:05:40 but she never blamed bad politics. What she really says is "Everything's the government's fault" or some variation of that line.
And sorry about the typo. It should be "6200" instead of "6100", but there were so many lines to check.
Ah... didn't notice her saying that and the sub on top too. But I thought 政治 should mean politics instead where 政府 means government. My bad for noticing that.

Delete政治 means politics and also means government in a general sense. It's all about using the word that makes more sense in English.
DeleteIn the case of Hitomi's line, she blames the "government" for her poor results. You know how some people blame the government for literally anything, right? So it's that kind of joke.
Well what you said isn't wrong, but then if she's blaming the government she should have said 政府 instead. That was my POV for that. Might be a Japanese way of saying that or something. Nonetheless, I guess it wouldn't matter much either way. Anyway thanks for taking the time to explain your POV for that.

DeleteI downloaded it, and noticed it is an ass file. What program do you use to play this file type? Nothing I have tried seems to work.
ReplyDeleteYou need the raws. If you have the raws, put both files in the same folder and make sure they are both named the same. Play the raws with VLC or something and the subs will appear.

Have you watched the 4 TV episodes and the special? You should watch those first if you haven't.
