Saki Biyori 75-76 End

The last two chapters of Saki Biyori, the second one in color!
It was fun but now it's over 😢. Saki Biyori lasted for roughly 100 chapters (counting the ones from YG) and was published for almost 7 years, quite a long time for a spin-off gag manga.

I can think of quite a few totally hilarious chapters but one of the most memorable things that came out of this manga (at least for me) is Koromo's birthday song (short version) ~Koro tan yay~. I will always remember that.

  1. "Koro-tan yay" became a fanbasewide birthday celebration phrase. Whenever a character has their birthday, posts and art are made saying "[chara]-tan yay"! It will live on forever.

    1. Yeah, and that started from a Biyori strip.

  2. Thanks for TL! Apparently, there is also a volume's bonus chapter about elementary!Toki. Only 4 pages with raws available. Any plans on tackling it?

    1. There's a bonus chapter in every volume, and some of them are longer, so it's not that simple of a task.

    2. For now I don't plan on doing the bonus chapters. Like the /a/non says there's one in every volume and I've never done any of those before. Maybe some time in the future, if I have more time and looking for something to translate, I might do that but not right now.

  3. Koro-tan yay doesn't really stick to me until the anime version came out. After that it became one of the most memorable moment in Biyori. Also I liked the full version of the song too(sorry Koromo but I really liked it).

I guess overall I liked KokajixKouko moments the best among the series.

Hoping for Biyori to come back in the future, but for now will just have to find something to fill the void for this. Also hoping to more anime Biyori in the near future. Thanks Saya for all the hard work you have done for us fans.

Thanks for the translations!! Also, there isn't any bonus illustrations for the end of the series?

    1. Oh yeah, I liked Kokaji x Kouko too. They didn't appear much in later chapters though.

Bonus illustrations? The color chapter is like a bonus. Other than that, the last volume has some extra stuff but all volumes have that.

    2. Well was hoping for something like front page cover art or something like that. I guess there isn't any then.

Probably ran out of idea to make different jokes aside from Kokaji's age I guess haha.

  5. ch 76, pg 06, "watching and stealing"? Did she really said that? That's a strange way of saying it.

    1. Ah yes, it sounds a bit odd but it's a method of learning that consists of watching an expert at work and simply making their techniques yours (stealing them). It stands in contrast to being taught by the expert. It's not a bad thing and some may even say it's the best way to learn.

I could have changed it to something like "learning by watching" but it's not exactly the same and I thought it best to leave as it is. Maybe I should have put a note though.
