Saki Achiga-hen New Series!!

The continuation of Saki Achiga-hen (manga) has been announced. The new series should begin next month (March 25th) in Big Gangan magazine (same as Shinohayu and Toki). The authors are the same, Kobayashi Ritz and Igarashi Aguri.

It seems the story will pick up where it ended, after Achiga Girls' qualified for the final of the Interhigh. Wait a sec, wouldn't that overlap with the Saki main story? Yes, that's what everyone is wondering. How exactly is that going to play out, no one knows.

Anyway, I'll try to keep you posted if more information is revealed.

  1. I'll never understand Ritz's hard on for Achiga. They aren't even that interesting.

In any case, this supports my theory that Ritz will have Achiga win the nationals.

    1. You say it as if Ritz asked to continue the series. We don't know that. It could have easily come from Igarashi or the magazine.

    2. I'm inclined to believe it was Ritz's decision, considering all the attention Achiga gets in the main series already.

  2. Wait, what ???
How weird. Will Ritz be able to juggle all of that ?

  4. Fuck yes, just found this out today. So glad the best part of the franchise is coming bad. Like Achiga(the team) or not, you gotta agreed that the best part of Side A (the final) is on par if not better than the best part of the main series (Koromo match). It's hard to be hyped over the national in the main series do to the pacing (lack of pages and frequent hiatus).

    1. Certainly, the match against Teru in Side A is one of the best parts of the Saki franchise. Let's see how this new Achiga-hen turns out. It should be the same events as in Saki though. Just from a different angle.
